A total of 59 Management Trainee vacancies are notified
across four engineering disciplines through GATE 2026 score. Discipline-wise

vacancies is subject to change at the discretion of EIL.
EIL Management Trainee Eligibility Criteria 2026
Educational
Qualification
Candidates must be Engineering Graduates in the relevant
discipline (Chemical / Mechanical / Civil / Electrical Engineering). They must
have appeared in and cleared the GATE 2026 examination
in one of the above engineering disciplines corresponding to the discipline
they are applying for. The detailed eligibility criteria including minimum
marks/percentage requirements, age limit and other conditions will be specified
in the detailed advertisement to be released on the EIL official website.
GATE 2026 Requirement
Candidates must have appeared in GATE 2026 (Graduate
Aptitude Test in Engineering) and must have cleared the exam in the relevant
engineering discipline paper (CH / ME / CE / EE) as applicable for the post
applied. Candidates who appeared in GATE 2024 or GATE 2025 but not in GATE 2026
are not eligible.
EIL Management Trainee Selection Process 2026
Selection of Management Trainees at EIL will be based on the
GATE 2026 score in the respective engineering discipline. The detailed
selection process including Group Discussion, Personal Interview or any other
stages will be outlined in the detailed advertisement to be released on the
official EIL website. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS/Persons
with Disabilities candidates shall be as per Government of India guidelines.
Important Instructions
- Candidates
must have appeared in and cleared the GATE 2026 examination
in the relevant engineering discipline to be eligible to apply. GATE 2024
or GATE 2025 scores will not be considered.
- Online
applications must be submitted only through the EIL official website www.engineersindia.com.
Applications through any other mode will not be accepted.
- The
application window is open from 0000 hours on 20.03.2026 to 2359
hours on 13.04.2026. Applications submitted before or
after this window will not be entertained.
- Candidates
are required to apply separately on
the EIL website. Merely appearing in or clearing GATE 2026 does not
automatically register a candidate for EIL Management Trainee recruitment.
- The
detailed advertisement containing complete eligibility criteria, age
limit, salary details, selection process and other important information
will be hosted on the official EIL website. Candidates must read the
detailed advertisement carefully before applying.
- Reservation
for SC / ST / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / EWS / Persons with Disabilities
candidates shall be strictly as per prevailing Government of India
guidelines.
- Candidates
belonging to OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category must ensure they do not fall
under the Creamy Layer. Creamy Layer OBC candidates must apply under the
General/UR category.
- Candidates
