The
number of vacancies, reservations for APST and PwBD candidates, and disability
criteria under PwBD reservation are as per the "Proforma of
Requisition" submitted by the Department of Health & Family Welfare,
Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
APPSC Medical Specialist Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
I. Educational Qualification – Junior
Specialist (Allopathy)
- A recognised medical qualification
included in the First or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than
licentiate qualification) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders
of Part-II qualifications must also fulfil the condition stipulated in
sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Act.
- Post-Graduate Degree in the concerned
specialty mentioned in Section 'A', 'B', or 'D' as the case may be in
Schedule VI or equivalent of Arunachal Pradesh Health Service Rules, 2000.
- The candidate (including Foreign
Medical Graduates/Post Graduates) must be registered with Arunachal
Pradesh Medical Council (APMC).
II. Educational Qualification – Junior Dental
Specialist
- Medical qualification included in
Part-I or Part-III of the Schedule to the Dentist Act, 1948 as amended
from time to time.
- Post-Graduate Degree in the concerned
specialty mentioned in Section 'A', 'B', or 'D' as the case may be in Schedule-VI
or equivalent of Arunachal Pradesh Health Service Rules, 2000.
- The candidate (including Foreign
Medical Graduates/Post Graduates) must be registered with Arunachal
Pradesh Dental Council (APDC).
One Time Relaxation
(GoAP): The Government of Arunachal Pradesh has granted One Time
Relaxation vide GoAP Notification No. DMETR-11012(17)/1/2024 dated 7th February
2026, waiving off the requirement of 3 years' experience
after Post Graduate Degree and 5
years' experience after Post Graduate Diploma in the
concerned Speciality.
Age Limit
Candidates
must not exceed 50 years as on
the last date of submission of online application form (18th May 2026), in
accordance with One Time Relaxation vide GoAP Notification No.
DMETR-11012(17)/1/2024 dated 7th February 2026. Age relaxation of 5
years is available for Government Servants. Age concession
for PwBD candidates and regular Govt. servants of Government of Arunachal
Pradesh will be as per Government rules in force.

candidates are exempted from payment of application fee as per Section 19 of
the Arunachal Pradesh Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2018.
APPSC Medical Specialist Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process
Selection
will be made through Viva-Voce / Interview only in
accordance with the Arunachal Pradesh Health Service Rules-2000 amended vide
Notification No. HFW-1/89(Pt) dated 31/10/2003. The total marks of Interview
shall be 100 marks.
- Candidates must score a minimum of 50%
of the total marks in the interview to qualify for
selection (as per Rule XI, Sub-rule (e) of APPSC Manual for Conduct of
Examination-2024).
- Relaxation for PwBD candidates, if
any, shall apply as per the Government notification.
- Candidates will be shortlisted for
interview based on information provided in the online application form.
- Eligible candidates must produce all
original certificates/documents/mark sheets at the time of interview. If a
candidate is found ineligible during document verification, candidature
shall be rejected.
- The date for interview of eligible
candidates will be notified in due course.
Documents to Be Uploaded with Online Application
- Signature of the candidate on white
paper with black ink pen (40–50 kb, jpg format).
- Latest/recent colour passport-size
photo (40–100 kb, jpg format) — white background, front-faced, without
headgear or sunglasses.
- Self-attested photocopy of
Matriculation Certificate/Marksheet with Date of Birth (only document
accepted as proof of DOB).
- Self-attested photocopy of APST
certificate (for APST candidates seeking reservation).
- Self-attested photocopy of Aadhaar
Card / PRC / EPIC as identity proof (for non-APST applicants).
- Self-attested photocopy of Bachelor
Degree certificates and mark sheets issued by the University.
- Self-attested photocopy of Master
Degree certificates and mark sheets issued by the University.
- Experience Certificate in the
concerned speciality, if any.
- PwBD/PwD disability certificate
issued by certifying authority as per Section 57 of Rights of Persons with
Disabilities Act, 2016 — must clearly mention the Percentage
of Disability and must be issued before the last date
of application submission.
- Self-attested photocopy of APMC
Registration Certificate (for Allopathy) or APDC Registration Certificate
(for Dental).
- Govt. employees: Copy of intimation
submitted to Head of Department or NOC issued by the department
