Eligibility Criteria - UP Sambhal Anganwadi Worker 2026
Educational Qualification
- Minimum Qualification: Intermediate
(10+2) or equivalent.
- Maximum Qualification considered for
merit: Postgraduate. Merit will be prepared on the basis of marks in
Intermediate and the highest qualification up to Postgraduate.
Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 35 years
- Date of birth as recorded in High
School mark sheet / certificate will be treated as final.
Residence Condition
- The applicant must be a resident of
the same Gram Sabha / Ward (for urban areas) for which she is applying.
- If no eligible candidate is available
from the concerned Gram Panchayat, selection will be made from the Nyaya
Panchayat as per category-wise rules.
Certificates & Special Cases
- Residence and caste certificates must
be digitally signed and issued online by the Tehsil, and should be
verifiable online.
- For widows, a death certificate
issued by the Gram Panchayat Officer / Urban Local Body and an attested
copy of the family register will be valid.
- For divorced / abandoned women, a
valid legal order issued by the competent Court will be required.
- Two women from the same family cannot
be appointed as Anganwadi Worker in the same centre.
BPL / Income Related Rules
- Income certificates must be issued by
the competent authority as per the latest government orders and must be
verifiable online.

Priority
order for selection:
1. Widow
/ divorced / abandoned woman living below the poverty line (BPL) from the same
Gram Sabha / Ward.
2. If
such candidates are not available, any other woman from the same Gram Sabha /
Ward living below the poverty line.
3. If
still not available, widow / divorced / abandoned and other women living above
the poverty line from the same Gram Sabha / Ward.
