AIIMS Rishikesh Faculty Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Professor
- Medical Candidates: A medical qualification included
in Schedule I, II, or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical
Council Act, 1956 along with a postgraduate degree such as MD/MS or equivalent
in the respective discipline. For surgical super-specialties, M.Ch. is
required; for medical super-specialties, D.M. is required (2, 3, or 5-year
recognized course). Experience required: 14 years after MD/MS, or 12 years
after D.M./M.Ch. (2 or 5-year course after MBBS), or 11 years after a 3-year
D.M./M.Ch. Non-Medical
Candidates: Master's degree + Doctorate degree from a recognized
university + 14 years of teaching/research experience after obtaining the
doctorate.
Additional
Professor - Medical Candidates: Same basic
qualifications as Professor (Medical). Experience: 10 years after MD/MS; for
super-specialty disciplines, 8 years after D.M./M.Ch. (2 or 5-year course), or
7 years after 3-year D.M./M.Ch. Non-Medical
Candidates: Same as Professor (Non-Medical) + 10 years of experience
after the doctorate.
Associate
Professor - Medical Candidates (General Disciplines): Same
as Professor (Medical) + 6 years of experience after MD/MS. For super-specialty
disciplines, 4 years after D.M./M.Ch. (2 or 5-year course), or 3 years after
3-year D.M./M.Ch. Non-Medical
Candidates: Same as Professor (Non-Medical) + 6 years of experience
after the doctorate.
Assistant
Professor - Medical Candidates (General Disciplines): Same
as Professor (Medical) + 3 years of experience after MD/MS. For super-specialty
disciplines, 1 year after D.M./M.Ch. (2 or 5-year course after MBBS); no
experience required for candidates with 3-year D.M./M.Ch. Non-Medical Candidates: Same as
Professor (Non-Medical) + 3 years of experience after the doctorate.
Hospital
Administration Department: A medical
qualification under Schedule I & II or Part II of the Third Schedule of the
Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, along with MD in Hospital Administration or a
Master's Degree in Hospital Administration (MHA) from an MCI recognized
institution. Experience varies by post: 14 years (Professor), 10 years
(Additional Professor), 6 years (Associate Professor), or 3 years (Assistant
Professor) after obtaining the postgraduate degree.
