1. What is the purpose of Registration on the Indian Navy portal?

Registration on the Indian Navy recruitment portal is mandatory.
Its primary purpose is to create a verified user account for a candidate.

The main objectives of Registration are:

  • Identity verification of the candidate (via Aadhaar or other Government ID)
  • Creation of a personal profile that will be used for all Navy recruitment entries
  • Secure login access to apply for Officer, Sailor, Agniveer, or other entries
  • Official communication (email/SMS) regarding exam dates, SSB call letters, admit cards, and results
  • Generation of a unique candidate ID for tracking applications throughout the selection process

Without registration, the system does not recognize you as a candidate, and you cannot proceed further.

3. What documents/details are required for Registration?

During Registration, the portal provides two methods:

Option 1: Register with Aadhaar

  • Aadhaar Virtual ID or Aadhaar-based OTP verification
  • This is the fastest and most commonly used method

 Option 2: Register without Aadhaar

If Aadhaar is not used, you can register using any one Government Photo ID, such as:

  • Passport
  • Voter ID
  • Driving License
  • PAN Card
  • Class 10th or 12th Certificate (as identity proof)
  • Basic personal details (name, date of birth, gender)
  • Active email ID (for login and official communication)
  • Mobile number (OTP verification)
  • Class 10th certificate (Date of Birth proof)
  • Class 12th / Graduation mark sheets (as per entry eligibility)
  • Passport-size photograph
  • Scanned signature
  • Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS, if applicable)
  • Other eligibility-related documents as mentioned in the notification

 

6. What happens after successful Registration?

  • A unique registration/login account is created
  • You can log in anytime to apply for available Navy entries
  • All future notifications (exam, SSB, merit list, etc.) are sent to your registered email and mobile number
  • The same account is used for all Indian Navy recruitments
