1. What is the purpose of
Registration on the RRB portal?
Registration on the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB)
portal is mandatory for all recruitments such as NTPC, Group-D, ALP,
JE, and other RRB posts.
The main purposes of Registration are:
- To
create an official candidate account/profile
- To verify
the candidate’s identity and contact details (email ID and mobile
number)
- To
generate a Registration Number/Login ID and Password
- To
link all stages of recruitment—application, admit card, examination,
result, document verification—to one profile
- To
allow candidates to use the same registration for future RRB
recruitments (if eligible)
Registration is the first and essential step
of the entire RRB recruitment process.
2. Can RRB application forms be
filled without Registration?

3. What documents/information are
required for Registration?
A. At the Registration stage (Initial Stage)
At this
stage, candidates usually need to provide basic information only;
document uploads are not required.
Required
details include:
- Full
name (as
per Class 10 certificate)
- Date
of Birth
- Father’s
and Mother’s name
- Active
mobile number (for OTP verification)
- Active
email ID
- Gender
and nationality
- Aadhaar
number or other Government Photo ID (if asked)
B. At the Application Form stage (After
Registration)
After
logging in and filling the application form, candidates must upload scanned
copies of documents such as:
- Class
10 certificate/marksheet (Date of Birth proof)
- Class
12 / ITI / Diploma / Graduation certificates (as
per post eligibility)
- Passport-size
photograph (scanned)
- Scanned
signature
- Aadhaar
card or other Government photo ID
- Category
certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), if applicable
- PwBD
/ Ex-Serviceman certificate, if applicable
